OUR STORY

Baxters on Main was founded by owner Terri Knop in May of 2003 as a fine dining restaurant in Bastrop, Texas. In its infancy, it was imagined as the meeting place of Bastrop and soon grew into a local staple, featuring a delicious menu, excellent catering services, extensive wine list and relaxing ambience. For nine straight years, Baxters on Main was voted “Best of Bastrop County” by The Bastrop Advertiser & our loyal customers.

Time & life bring about change, and Baxters on Main has been no exception. Our founder Terri Knop, after diagnosis of lung cancer in early 2017, decided to step aside and pass the reigns to her chef and friend of 14 years, Preston Higgins. 

 

As of August 2017 Baxters on Main restaurant became:

Baxters Catering, Owned and operated by Chef Preston Higgins
